Upgrade Your Kiteboard with the Orca Big Air Fin
The Orca fin is not your average fin – it’s specifically designed to help you jump higher. And who wouldn’t want that?! Take a closer look and you’ll notice its curved shape. This works like a mini hydrofoil, generating extra downward force. That added force gives your board more grip – no matter which board you ride! More grip means increased stability and the ability to push off even harder.
On flat water, you’ll always feel like you have the perfect takeoff. And if you hit the right kicker at the right moment, you’ll be surprised by just how much extra height this fin can give you. It might take a little getting used to – especially the feeling during the takeoff – but once you adapt, you’re almost guaranteed to boost higher!
This design didn’t just appear out of nowhere – the fin has been thoroughly tested by several professional kiteboarders in all conditions. Sailing enthusiasts might even recognize the inspiration from foils introduced on boats in the world’s most prestigious sailing competition: The Volvo Ocean Race. So it’s no surprise that your upwind performance also gets a significant boost.
Mounting & Compatibility
The Orca twin-tip fin is sold as a set of two fins. You mount them on the heelside of your kiteboard. If the effect feels too strong, you can choose to upgrade only the fin used for takeoff (your heelside takeoff side).
The fins come with four M5 screws and two washers, making them compatible with any kiteboard with a 4 cm insert spacing – which covers almost every board on the market, including North, Duotone, Cabrinha, Naish, Brunotti, Slingshot, Reedin, Harlem, Flysurfer, and Lieuwe.
