The story
This bird is called a Mallemuk in Danish, which is a fabulously good name for a bird! Which formidable bird numerologist came up with it is unknown, but that person has managed to make the bird unique, even though at first glance it looks like an average seagull.
The mallard is drawn in its characteristic "why-the-hell-did-I-choose-to-breed-at-Svalbart-position" and if it had the turtle's ability to disappear into itself, it would no doubt have pulled its head down into its stomach . I have therefore given it a small hat to protect itself from wind and weather. The drawing is made with pencil, pigment liner and water color.
