Auto-Untwist System

Quick Release with One-Hand Reconnect

The new Quick Release system on the Gaastra X7 Bar combines safety with intuitive functionality. After activation, the system can be reconnected with just one hand.

This simple reconnect design makes the safety system easier to reset on the water and gives riders a more practical and confidence-inspiring setup.

Adjustable Low V / High Y Line Configuration

The X7 Bar features an innovative V / Y line configuration system that allows riders to switch between Low V and High Y setups.

The system is adjusted via a screw mechanism, making it easy to fine-tune the bar for different kites, riding styles and personal preferences. This gives you the flexibility to optimize responsiveness, stability and compatibility across your kite quiver.

For Gaastra kites up to and including model year 2026, Gaastra recommends the High Y setting with the Y-split positioned approximately 6 metres above the bar.

Fully Covered Depower Lines

Both depower lines on the Gaastra X7 Bar are fully covered to reduce wear and improve durability.

The protected design also provides a smoother and more consistent feel when sheeting the bar or adjusting the depower, helping the system perform reliably in a wide range of conditions.

Suicide Safety Option for Freestyle

For advanced riders, the X7 Bar also includes a Suicide Safety Option on the leash connection.

This setup provides a more direct connection to the kite and is aimed primarily at experienced freestyle and performance riders looking for greater freedom during tricks and loops.
