A bungee reduces the recoil of your harpoon
Your harpoon has tremendous power and it can be a wild experience when you fire the harpoon. You can greatly reduce the recoil of your harpoon, in some cases completely eliminate it, by using a bungee that absorbs the recoil of the shot.
With a bungee it will be easier for you to load your harpoon
If you use a bungee, it is easier to tighten the line on your harpoon and at the same time you avoid having a slack line hanging along the shaft.
